MCU Park

MCU Park (formerly known as KeySpan Park) is a minor league baseball stadium in Coney Island. It is also the home of the New York’s Mets affiliated Brooklyn Cyclone baseball team. The baseball stadium opened in 2001 with an initial seating capacity of 6,500 and later expanded to 7,500 due to the popularity of the Brooklyn Cyclone. The stadium is accessible by subway train with the nearest being the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue Station.

The Brooklyn Cyclone has a large following with tickets to the baseball games at MCU Park often a sell-out. Being located nearby Coney Island's attractions, MCU Park has a carnival like atmosphere with plenty of foods including Nathan's famous hot dogs. Furthermore, first time visitors to the stadium may mistaken MCU Park as another amusement park with its concession stands, colorful signages, and neon signs. Single tickets, seasons tickets, and group plans are available for the baseball games at MCU Park.

MCU Park is also a popular venue in Coney Island for the occasional non-sporting events. These events include professional wrestling matches but more often the music concerts. Well-known personalities and music groups that have performed here include Deff Leppard, Bryan Adams, White Stripes, Snoop Dogg, and Grateful Dead members Phil Lesh and Bob Weir.
