Science & Technology Museums
The Buffalo Museum of Science is popular with science buffs and exhibits are related to the study of animals, astronomy, and technology. The museum comprises of several galleries including a gallery targeted at children. Buffalo once had a thriving aerospace industry and was the corporate headquarters of Bell Aircraft Corporation and Curtiss-Wright Corporation. As a legacy, the Ira G. Ross Aerospace Museum is devoted to aerospace with its exhibits of aircraft engines, many constructed by these two companies. The Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park (formerly the Buffalo Naval and Servicemen's Park) has an extensive collection of military naval, air, and land vehicles.

Art & History Museums
The Albright-Knox Art Gallery is an art museum located on the western edge of Delaware Park. The museum is home to exhibits of modern and contemporary art by American and European artists. Another art gallery in Buffalo is the Burchfield Penney Art Center, situated in the campus of Buffalo State College. Founded in 1966, the gallery is well-known for its exhibits by artists from Western New York. Those interested in the history and culture of Western New York, should visit the Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society. Located in the northwestern corner of Delaware Park, permanent exhibits are housed in several galleries.
