Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers' Market 


The Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers' Market in Buffalo is located at the corner of Elmwood Avenue and Bidwell Parkway. The open-air market opens every Saturday from mid-May to mid-December starting at 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. This is a producer-only market i.e. only vendors growing their own produce are allowed to sell. Thus, everything sold here is locally grown and patrons can feel assured they are buying direct from the source. More than 30 vendors participate in the Elmwood-Bidwell Farmers' Market, offering a range of fresh seasonal produce from the region.

The farmers' market is popular with locals and visitors not only for the high quality produces offered by the vendors but also to enjoy the market’s lively atmosphere. A variety of fresh vegetable are sold here including tomatoes, cabbage, broccoli, sweet corn, carrots, and peppers to name a few. Fruits from the region include cherries, grapes, apples, pears, and peaches. There are also vendors offering prepared foods including smoked sausages, artisan bread, cookies, homemade sauces, handmade chocolates, cheeses, and honey products.
