Getting In

By Plane to Newark Liberty Airport

 
 
Newark Liberty International Airport is located west of New York City, across the Hudson River in the neighboring state of New Jersey. The airport comprises of three terminals i.e. Terminals A, B, C. Terminal C is the home of Continental Airlines and uses Newark Airport as a major hub. Most international flights use Terminal B while domestic flights use Terminal A but there are exceptions.
Ground transport from Newark Airport to New York City include the following:

Port Authority Trans-Hudson
Bus No. 62 departs from the airport terminals on a 25-minute trip to Newark Penn Station and the one-way fare is $1.50 (exact change only). From here, you can take a 25-minute ride on the Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) subway train ($1.75) to the World Trade Center Station in Downtown Manhattan.

AirTrain Newark
AirTrain Newark ($5.50) operates a 24-hour service departing from the airport to Newark Airport Rail Station. The trip takes about 10 minutes and from here you can take the New Jersey Transit ($12.50) departing every 15-30 minutes to Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan

Shuttle Buses & Vans
The Newark Airport Express bus ($15) departs every 15 minutes on a 40 minute trip (depending on traffic) to 42nd Street in Midtown Manhattan. Go Airlink New York ($18) provides shared van door-to-door services to Manhattan from Battery Park up to 125th Street. Another shuttle service is Super Shuttle Manhattan to hotels in Manhattan.

Cabs
Cab fares are a flat rate based on the destination in New York City. Inform the dispatcher at the airport your destination, who will note the fare and destination on the cab form. The fare to Manhattan is $50-70 excluding tip and round trips tolls.
