Niagara Falls, New York

There are not many luxury hotels in the Niagara Falls, with most hotels here being in the two and three-star categories. Among the few is the five-star 38-room Giacomo Hotel Niagara Falls, at First Street in the city’s downtown area and within walking distance from Niagara Falls State Park. Another in the downtown area is the four-star Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel at Fourth Street, and at 24 floors is the largest hotel in New York State outside of New York City.

Many of the attractions in Niagara Falls are within Niagara Falls State Park, which is a short distance from the city’s downtown area. Though accommodations here are mainly in the two and three-star categories, they are generally pleasant, offer comfortable rooms, and definitely cheaper than the four and five-star hotels. Accommodations along Rainbow Boulevard include the one-star Econo Lodge, one-star Super 8 Motel, and three-star Hampton Inn. Others within the downtown area include Quality Hotel & Suites, Holiday Inn, Sheraton, and Fallside Hotel.

From four to eight miles (6 to13 km) east from downtown are the inns and motels along Niagara Falls Boulevard. The area offers cheaper stays than the downtown area with rates starting from as low as $40 a night. Considering the distance of Niagara Falls Boulevard from the attractions at the Niagara Falls, staying in the area is best suited for those arriving by car. Accommodations here include the Red Carpet Inn, Budget Host Inn, Caravan Motel, Swiss Cottage Inn, and Moonlight Motel.
