New York Hall of Science

 
 
The New York Hall of Science is a science museum located in the western area of Flushing Meadows Corona Park. The science museum is housed in a Pavilion that was part of the 1964-1965 World Trade Fair. The museum targets children (aged 1-17 years), promoting science and technology as important tools in our daily lives. There are more than 450 hands-on and interactive exhibits devoted to biology, chemistry, and physics.

Several themes categorize the various exhibits at the New York Hall of Science including the “Search for Life Beyond the Earth”, “Sound Sensations: The Inside Story of Audio”, “Marvelous Molecules - The Secret of Life”, and “Realm of the Atom”. There is also the “Science Playground” where kids can play and learn about the physics of motion. The Science Shop at the museum sells a wide range of educational games, books, and science kits.
